Pleading Guilty Throughout my life, I've tried to avoid all things legal. Except for one lawsuit in which I was the plantiff - and won!
And, of course, the "fine print" in my mortgage contract. That's about it. Until last week when I read The Divorce Papers by Susan Rieger. This is, as the Wizard once said to the Tin Woodsman, a "...clinking, clanking, clattering collection
of kaligenous junk!".
Well, not quite junk. And unlike the Tin Man, it does have a heart. It is, in fact,
an olio of various documents, including emails, pertaining to a divorce case. Reading them, er, this novel is, as I said in
my review now posted on www.authorexposure.com, a crash course in Family Law and is an intriguing narrative that provides an unique insight into the workings of a small
law firm, as well a a glimpse into the professional and private lives of its main protagonist, Anne "Sophie" Diehl,
brilliant criminal attorney turned ace divorce lawyer.
When you get a chance, follow the link and wend your way
through my brief comments. You might just decide to do it justice and read this first novel. If you do, enjoy!
Case closed.
